I know Tamiya made one and "the Black Label of death" made another. What is the consensus about What Saladin to get.

Hi;

Some will tell you Accurate Armor is the one to get,but IMHO the Dragon with A Lil-bit of extra work is worth the trouble. But it all comes down to personal taste.

Accurate Armour would be the best except price and instructions they do one with and one without interior and cant be falted on casting but if you want to put the effort in Dragon and the up date bits from castoff will do it

I would go with the Dragon kit as well. I have it as well as the update set from MR Models. Goes a long way to making a nice and more accurate model.

The ancient Tamiya kit was dimensionally off (to accommodate the electric motor that seemed mandatory in those days). The tires were black rubber (not vinyl), and tended to dry out and crumble over time. The Dragon kit with aftermarket resin hatch details seems the best bet (or just build it closed down).

Good luck getting anything from Castoff while the owner is not operating the business though. It's really between doing the work yourself on Dragon's kit or opting for either of the AA kits depending on whether you want an interior.

Some hero (to my shame I forget his name but it might be the talented Dave Foster) rebuilt the Tamiya kit a few years ago on ML but you'd need to be pretty keen to do so now.
