Is it true that an all new M-18 Hellcat in 1/35 is in the works? That would really make my day.

Well I am currently (and slowly) working on the AFV Club kit, so once I get close to finishing, a new kit will drop...

I've put mine to the side for now... Maybe I should get back on that too... Maybe the two of us combined will get that new kit out even faster!

Yes, Dragon is doing one in the Black Label/Plague/Death series.

They will combine the worst of the existing kits in one box.

OR maybe Miniart and Bronco will do one where they will try to outdo each other on how complex they can make the assembly.

I mean Dragon doing the reverse of what a modeler would do in a kit bash. A modeler looks to combine what is best from various kits. Dragon in its infinite newfound wisdom of doing kits with random and easily avoidable errors will put together all the worst parts of every previous M18 kit and put it on a M24 hull completely ignoring the differences just because they look alike.

That is because it only exists in my imagination. It's what is sometimes referred to as ironic humor.

Don't go looking for it because it's of the same stuff as Dragon's once promised M3 Lee.

Aww, and here I got my hopes up... We can only look forward(?) to more Tigers I & II kits, though... So us US/ALLIED fans are only going to get "ironic humor" instead of some REAL honest to goodness new US/ALLIED stuff, i.e, said fictitious "NEW!!!" M18. Ditto DRAGON's M3 Lee/Grant, and AFV CLUB's M8 HMC... An entirely new M3/M3A1 Stuart/Honey- series of kits would also be nice...

The Panzer-Heads must be laughing their guts out!!!

This kind of "ironic humor" hits just a leeetle bit too close to home. I've been badgering the manufacturers FOR YEARS to give us "all-new" M18s, M3/M3A1 Stuart/Honeys, M3 Lee/Grants, and M8 HMC kits. To NO AVAIL!!!
