Any Vehicle/aircraft named SOPHIA?
I have 3 daughters, and am looking for an aircraft or vehicle named or nicknamed or tagged Sophia.
I already have a 1/48th Betty & Tony (Toni) & even know of a Mosquito marked J(0)NA but not of a Sophie or Sophia, any ideas here?
Could develop into a group build here?

If your not to hung up on spelling there is "Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy" or "SOFIA". A 747 with a telescope that looks out the side of the plane. It doesn't destroy or shoot anything but if does fly around with a 13 foot door in the side that they open up at 40000 feet to use the telescope.

Try for something with nose art carrying the name. Or do as Jim Lewis (Guntruck) did. He would build a normal kit but put his wife's name somewhere on it. I plan to do this for my daughter.

A bit more manageable than a 747 in 1/48th with a 52.8" wingspan.
I like the idea of the nickname, but do like to base it on a real example...

There was a Bulgarian sport car named "Sofia", built in the 80's, only few prototypes though. But I don't know of any models by that name

There was a Swedish Army HKP 11 (Agusta Bell 412 HP) helicopter used for EMS nicknamed Sophia, but it was written off after an accident in 2003.

If I remember correctly, there were some Hungarian and Bulgarian vehicles that had the name "Sofia" on the side. Maybe a Turan or Toldi tank or Csaba armored car?
I also remember seeing the name on a 75mm gun tube of a German vehicle pzkpfw IV? And on a Sdkfz 251.
The Sdkfz 251 marking might be in the Tamiya Stuka zu fuss kit?
Just throwing out ideas.

Hello,
If you're willing to stretch the name a bit, there was a Wiking Panther A named Sofie:
Discussed here. It says there's even a decal set of it from Archer.
Cheers,
Tat

Like, a 251 or Pz4 should be doable in 1/48th.

Thanks for all your thoughtful input. Perhaps I'd better refine my search terms:
any Vehicle OR Aircraft OR Ship carrying the Name OR Nickname of Sophie/Sophia/Sofia THAT is available as a KIT (pref 1/48th)
WW2 Aircraft was my first thought, eg along the lines of Chuck Yaegers' Glamourous Glennis('s), but Colourful WW2 Aircraft isn't my first forte, hence my asking for input.
Anothor forum have suggested a Sdkfz250 or PZKfwIV or V carrying the name Sofia which I will investigate, but more suggestions please
Or even: any decal sets with the name (any spelling) I I'll look for the kit to match in 1/48th

It seems that Echelon Fine Details do a Panther set in 1/48th...
Panther Ausf.A & Ausf.G
5.SS Pz.Rgt., 5.SS-Pz.Div. "Wiking" &
Pz.Rgt. "Hermann Goring"
Decal Sheet No. AXT351015
Decal Sheet No. AXT351015
This has a Sofia decal, is it for the A or G?
Does anyone know if there is a 1/48th Panther A, or can Tamiyas' G be converted into an A & aftermarket Zimmerit anybody?
Does anyone know if the Tamiya SdKfz.250 Stuka Zu Fuss has any sophia decals?
