I have the Hobby Boss V-100, which does not come with the Commanders 50 Cal. Does anyone know of a aftermarket or spare part I can use for the 50 Cal MOUNT? I have plenty of 50 cal's - I just need to figure out what to do for the mount on the Commanders turret.
Thanks,
Chris

Looks like there was no standard way to mount them.
Below, it looks like the mount is an M113 pintle mount. It should be easy to take a spare M113 mount and fab it up.
This one looks like it is on some funky pole mount.
this one looks like it has a whole M113 cupola and gun shields on it.

Hi, Chris! Gino's top photo shows an MG Mount very similar in construction to the type seen on M24 Chaffees...
Hope this helps you out at least a little bit...

Thanks guys. I'd seen a post from Shreb on here regarding a V100 he did and he stated he used the M113 mount.
I don't have a M113 kit laying around to vulture the piece from - any ideas where I could get that at w/o buying the kit?
Chris

Hi Chris,
BRAVO-6 USMC Tank Crew Vietnam has a .50 caliber machine gun inside with ammo belt, retracting slide handle, short turret pedestal and M23 Equilibrator Cradle.
Other options are ;
Academy US machine gun set includes different mounts.
AFV club M2 machine gun includes M63 mount.
best regards

Hi Chris,
Based on the photos I've collected, the M113 mount appears to be the most frequently used way to add the .50.
I believe "Catch 22" also uses the M113 mount, you have to look real close but that pole is for the assistant drivers M60, which isn't mounted in the photo.
PM me your address and I'll mail you an M113 mount by the end of the week.

On a side note, Echelon has released the markings for "Catch 22"...
