Hi Guy’s,
I’ve started building my latest model (Tamiya’s Mk5 Chieftain).
I’m going to try and make it an Iraqi Chieftain (thanks to the photos from irocarmy88).
I’m going to try and post the photos of my work so far.
If you have any tips or comments please let my know.

Hi, I'd have to say it looks pretty darn good so far. Is this a 1/35 scale model? Did you wrap the barrel there with tissue or something similar? I know years and years ago Tamiya had out a 1/25 scale Chieftain kit, but I think this was back in the '70s. Sure would like to see them re-release that particular kit again some day. Is this kit one you picked up just lately? If so I'll have to check into one. I seem to have developed something of a 'thing' modern armor, at least post W.W.II stuff here lately. Yeah, like I'm not backed up enough as it is, I have to up and go into another era. Ha!

I used diluted putty on the gun mantel, to force some texture in to it.
And the model it self is just the old tamiya 1/35 Chieftain.
I got it a few days ago
