great kit

this kit is the improved version of the tamiya kit of the 1970's.

The kit has absolutely nothing to do with Tamiya's effort. Nothing. Zip. Nada. Zilch. Zero. Unless you count the fact that it is an SU-122. You could just as well say a chicken is an improved version of an egg. I'm building one and all I can say is that this is a very very nice kit. It will be challenging at times, but the detail makes it worth while.

Yeah, there is nothing really in common with the Tamiya kit... It's absolutely brand new -you can see it on the part layout.

Yeah that guy Ulix-Vm has an M.O. - check out his other posts. He kinda photo-bombs a new thread with inane or inaccurate one-liners, never to be heard of again, just to annoy you. I called one of his recent efforts "kit-maker Tourettes". About time the Moderators did something about it.

I enjoyed the old 1970s Tamiya SU-122; this new offering looks like a super-worthy successor!

I hope Neil Stokes will show up and evaluate this kit!
