Ok, so I've been away now for almost a month, and on arrival back, my pre-ordered Bronco Stug III Ausf E arrived from Hobbyeasy.com (thank you, Hobbyeasy).
On opening it, I find a flyer with Bronco's kits, and listed at the end as "coming soon" is kit CB35117, "WWII German assault Gun Sturmgeschutz III Ausf D (Sdkfz 142) in El Alamein. There is only a 3/4 line drawing which shows the extended exhausts, and a jerry can rack at the rear of the vehicle.
I hope that this is of interest to someone out there

Whoa, I was really planning to get their Ausf E, but this looks well worth waiting instead.

We were talking about the Ausf D variant, whilst that is an Ausf E
