My sister just dropped off an academy M3 stuart "honey" she saw at the local hobby shop. I have to say I am very impressed with this little kit. Has anyone built this? And are there any problems I may look forward too? I'm kinda shocked the hobby shop hasnt had any new kits in months and my sis told me there is a lot of kits now so I guess its off to the hobby shop this weekend. Cheers Kevin

Kevin, While I'm not a rivet counter I can't comment on its accuracy. I've read there are some problems with the interior arrangements. However, if you're interested in building a nice kit that looks like an M3 when you get done, it is a honey indeed. I've built the US version of that kit and found it to be a very well detailed and well fitting model. Even the rubber band track is nice.

jackhammer,
I would be interested in what you find out about this kit. I have had my eyes on it and have seen a review or two. It looks very well done, although I can not comment on the accuracy of it.

Thanks,
Sean

Its a great kit, the interior is only accurate for an M3A1 apparently, the Honey didnt have a turret basket and the radio & ammo stowage was different.

Ignore Academys colour suggestions.

I can recommend Steve Zalogas book 'Modelling the M3/M5 Stuart' some great build articles and some great shots of Steves finished Honey.

Happy modelling
