Hello, I am starting the new Asuka m4 late, and the turret is missing the side turret hatch for ejecting spent shell cases, and the detail is not that sharp. I do have an unused turret from an m4a1 with the turret side hatch, which I would rather use. Can I use this turret and still have a Sherman in Normandy. Basically, did any m4 late version have the side turret opening?
Kind regards,
Paul

Paul,
The Asuka late M4 is a tank built at a time when the pistol ports were deleted from the turret castings. The turret has a thickened cast cheek on the right front.
Yes you can use another turret with a pistol port, just use mid production features.
Check out the Sherman Minutia site, there is a lot of good information there.
