A few pics of a recently finished White Scout Car. This is the ancient Zvezda kit with some Eduard etch, Grandt line rivet heads (every single molded on one was replaced) Roof straps from masking tape. Stenciled Stars with Frisket paper. Hope you like it, thanks for looking!

Terry,
Superior work. IIRC, Zvezda got the molds from Testors, who inherited them from Peerless Max. I still have my P.M. White M3.

Thanks! I think you have the lineage correct. I just wasn't sure if the Peerless kit had the top or not, I think that may have been a Zvezda addition. I do have a soft spot in my heart for the old Peerless kits though. Especially that M6, love that vehicle!

Really well done!! I was recently digging around my Hobby Boss version and wish it also included the canvas.

Great skill, here. The Revell M3 was my first build, upon returning to the hobby. Your paint and decals are spot on.

Thanks Guys!
DJ, the circled stars were reverse masked with frisket paper stencils. Painted the areas yellow, laid down the circle mask, then painted white and put down the star mask, then OD'd the whole car, and peeled the masks away. Yes, I was a little anxious at that point!

One heck of a job breathing life into the old M3 Scout kit!
A great example of what can be done with those "old" kits sitting in the stash.
