How do the rocket pods, as fitted to many technicals in the Middle East, fire their rockets? Are the firing circuits from the helicopters/aeroplanes also fitted? Do they not require a separate power source? The ones I've seen firing seem to fire in a rippled way, indicating a firing circuit is fitted..?

(Apols for posting in Russo-Soviet, there doesn't seem to be a Middle East forum).

You can notice the wire connected to the pod, in the same way it would be when fitted to an aircraft :

Here you can see some batteries connected to the launcher :

You're welcome Hisham Talking about fire mechanisms, I've read some were just scavenged factory button arrays or even doorbells...

Hi Guys;

"Yea" they sure liked the UV-57 Rocket pod A-lot, I used A few from my Hind in A couple that I built, and What A Pain that Was !!!! As the pods were empty, so I had to find something to use for the Rockets. I Finally found some Small Nails from my local Hardware store that were the same Dia; & same lenght and they were already Silver in color !! And was I AMAZED I could not do that again in A Hundred Years !!!!

CHEERS; MIKE.
