I am looking for the correct measurements for the .50. At this time I have an Tamiya .50, a Verlinden .50 and a Legend .50 which all differ quite a lot. The Legend is by far the smallest of them all.
Can anyone help ?
Marc

Hi Marc
I'm a bit late but here's what I have found :
according to a book called "Small arms of the world" (one of my bedside books) the length of the .50 M2 Browning machine gun (Heavy Barrel) is "about" 163 cm. I think that maybe the word "about" has something to do with the different flash hidders that can be fitted . The length of the barrel is 122,5 cm.

Hi Frenchy and Mojo,
OK two different lenghts now what ? #:-)
I measured the .50 at home which presented me the following;
Tamiya; 46.5 mm
VP; 45.8 mm
Legend; 42 mm (yes it's a lot smaller in overall dimensions)
If I take your data 163 cm equals 46.6 mm in 1/35 and 156 cm equals 44.6 mm. Taking the different types of flash hidders into account I think it's save to say that Tamiya abd VP got it right.
Besides the real measurments I took th Mission models bullets and the look best on the last two and will never fit in the Legend .50
Now I can mount one of these babies with a lot of nice bullets on top of my Humvee and start finishing it !
Thanx for the help guys,
Marc
