I have been doing the final washes on my Italeri M32 OOB build when those tight tracks busted off both rear idlers and axles. As the tracks were already painted and glued in some places I have removed them completely. I also have my M4A1 from Italeri at the same stage and thankfully the wash didnt effect it. It may be some time before I get back to the hobby store and I was wondering what tracks I could use to replace them.
The only suitable (?) tracks i have at home are the cleated type that come with Academys M12 S.P.G. Would these be suitable/possible to use with a M32? I already have the m32 painted in olive drab and the kit supplied US decals applied.
Any help with this or a general run down on M4 based tracks would be helpful. Cheers!

Yeah you can use the M-12 tracks and if I were you this is a good choice since there has been much discussion as to whether or not the M-12s did have these tracks ...so you can use another type on the M12 and you can finish off your M-32 right away....errr you do know that the Italeri M-32 was based on the wrong hull type ....Maybe after the war something like that showed up but during the war it was more the M-4 or M4A1 with the small hatches that were used as M-32s ..Nice kit anyways...

Great Rick. Just what I needed to hear ... One of the idlers on the M4 broke today. Last time I use Italeri tracks. I glued it back in place, but the track seems to be giving way a bit now. I had these two about 2 hours from finishing after being on the workbench for about a year and Im as far back as ever!

Were these tracks all metal .... I mean no rubber areas in them??

Rick ....... thanks a million. I appreciate the help. I have primed the M12 tracks tonight and I can paint them tomorrow. Hopefully I can have the M4 and the M32 finished by the weekend!
