Scale Choices

I'm getting back into the hobby after a 40-odd year interruption...Back then I built exclusively 1/48 aircraft and 1/35 vehicles (mostly because that was all that was available to a pre-internet teenage kid). I'd love to hear from folks that have opinions as to why they choose the scales they do; obviously selection, price, difficulty, space to display, etc. all figure in, but let's hear it!

pretty much the same as you. feel better detail easier to work with . old hands tired eyes cant handle smaller scales.

I like 1/35 vehicles because they allow me to add details more easily than the smaller ones. And they look better

Tiny parts are tiny parts. I've never found that it made much difference what scale they are - the larger the scale, the more precise the detail needs to be for the same effect in my experience.

I enjoy 1/35 the best.
1/48 as a second choice, also for selection and space.
Airfix for example have a great selection of kits, but none in 1/35 all 1/48.I built their Merlin Helicopter which was very precise, but in 1/35 would be huge.
I have a Hind and a Chinook dio from a few years back that I still haven't finished for lack of room.
