Hi everyone, I am interested in learning what's out there for historic figure painting. I have a found a few great youtube channels like Man Jin Kim's but I was wondering if there were more channels or maybe subscription websites for painting tutorials? I feel like it's much easier to find stuff for general scoff miniatures than historical figures!

I would highly recommend Miniature Mentor
http://www.miniaturementor.com/

I found out about this site because of Rick Lawler's tutorial on building and painting the Stalinez S-65 Heavy Tractor. This tutorial is really worth it. I have nothing but high praises.

After viewing this tutorial, I bought a couple more and ended up subscribing. Though the topics covered are predominantly fantasy. The techniques they show are applicable to any subject. They include sculpting, building dioramas/beautiful figure bases and even miniature photography.

Aside from Rick Lawler's, you should also check out the ones by Alfonso Giraldes. He has two available. One for "Faces and Clothing", the sample photo shows Anakin Skywalker and Obi Wan but the actual tutorial is about an RAF figure. Very unique way of painting a historical figure. His other tutorial is about painting non-metallic metals where he demonstrates painting an armored knight.

Their customer support is also commendable. Absolutely a great site! Can't recommend it enough.
