This looks like an excellent idea PvtParts. Good for you. I don't have any links for you but it seems the most popular questions are "What's the best Airbrush", totally subjective, and "Do I use enamel or acrylics?"

Thanks for the links. Being new to this kind of paint job they have helped me.
Does anyone know of,or has anyone on this forum ever done a DEFINITIVE guide to pain techniques?
Would love to try some different techniques on my latest model, but what i've found so far has been a bit sketchy.
Stuff like washes, weathering, dry brushing, weathering powders etc etc,all seem a little daunting to try out on my kit, without really knowing the full technique.
Thanks for any help ....... Jonno

How about take this one step further and make an FAQ forum that contains locked topics with those questions/answers?
Also in addition to the answer in the FAQ post you could also post links to previous discussions regarding similar subjects.
For example when someone asks the correct paints for NATO, desert armor, etc. you can have the Tamiya XF-#, Testors #, etc. but also link it to discussions where other modelers have used other non-standard mixes and reached their own solution.

John:
Thanks for the FAQ info.
Is there anyway to get the source for the color tables, save me from cut/paste a couple of them down onto my system ??
Thanks,
John

How about adding one "Painting for dummies" explaining the sequence of paintings.
I've applied your tips and I'm very impressed by the results, thanks!
However I see there is still a little to learn, with those highlightings and shades.
I've tried to improvise, and I'm either making my figure look totaly black, or having a nice highlighting...
If an expert could explain it all I'm sure it would help a lot of us!

Hey Greg,
Next time give them a rub with some graphite before you drybrush... You can grab a graphite pencil at any art supply store.. Shave some off and rub it on with your finger or Q-tip...
