I guess they got busy with some of the other releases, and now they're saying it's on the way... The Takom kit will have the advantage of the interior (for some people).. unless MENG surprises us with an interior also?

I agree. Can't wait to see what this offers, it'll definitely be a toss up between MENG and Takom

Based on price points from the two companies lately, I would think the Takom kit will have an advantage.

Meng will release a interior set as a kit, kit no SPS-037 German heavy tank Sd.kfz 182 king tiger (Henschel turret ) interior set
And SPS-038 German Heavy tank Sd.kfz 182 King tiger workable tracks
But ofcourse with these 2 sets it will probably be much more expensive then the Takom kit...

Meng will release a interior set as a kit
That's actually a good way of doing it, since a few people said they don't need an interior.. and with their M3A3 with the separate interior set.. the price of both the vehicle and the interior kits was the same as the price of getting the M2A3 with the interior included.. so, I don't expect any problems price wise.
Now, I always compare prices in HK.. prices in Europe and the States and Canada depend a lot on the distributors, I guess.

Unfortunately, a lot of US/British/Western European vendors charge WAR PRICES in, relatively speaking, Peacetime. I wind up searching ebay. Once prices have come down, I check who's got the cheapest pricing; sometimes it's an Eastern European store, other times an Asian vendor. Then I check what the shipping costs- this can be an inflated price, so one has to be careful when buying overseas. You may be able to find a really, really low price on a certain item, and then find out that the shipping can run you close to $50.00 bucks, USD!!! Caveat Emptor... (Let the Buyer Beware)
Also agree with Hisham; some buyers don't always want an interior, especially when there is very little to be seen when hatches on an AFV are posed "open". I usually pose figures in my open Hatches when this is the case. Figures add a great "sense of scale" to any scale model, and I also get to show off my figure-painting skills...
I'll pass on "yet another Tiger", Interior, or not.
"Ho-hum", in my opinion...

With all the new KT's being released along with the old Dragon & Tamiya's releases a King Tiger campaign should happen !
It's great to have all these options !

Meng in Canada seems to be way overpriced. I know our dollar is not the best, and it also seems that for Meng to get to Canada, it goes through many distributors who gouge the price even higher. I recently saw the new Meng US Marine individual equipment set selling for over $50 CDN, but see it selling overseas(Asia) for less then $20 USD(about $26 CDN). It seems North American distributors think North American model builders are rich, so we get GOUGED big time, especially in Canada.

I guess I kind of have it easy here in Egypt (although with the rate of exchange constantly rising, models have become VERY expensive).. but I mean easier in the sense that I don't need to shop around.. We don't have any hobby shops here, so I buy all my kits from HK.. and the past few months, I've started using surface mail to save a little.. It takes about 2 - 2 1/2 months to get here, but what the Hell.. it's not like I'm a speed builder or anything.. Actually, sometimes I'll go for 2 or 3 months without building anything at all.. so, the surface mail does help save a little.. but I have to admit, with the prices of kits, paints, tools and paying customs fees on everything.. the hobby is getting quite expensive
