Hi All
Haven't seen this posted. may have missed it, but there's a new resin 1/35 scale STAB from Semperfi miniatures released, from what I can tell it's principally on eBay:

The draft on this model and the hull shape look way off
and the detail on the front deck is also out of scale.
Compare to pics of the real thing:

Talking about the anchor plates (not sure it's the right term...) it's an understatement

Not an expert, of course, but looking at the pics of the model and the real thing, they look like two totally different boats.. unless the model is of some other variant or something?

Wow that is terrible, even their Technical info(shown on the ebay listing) says the draught is 2 feet. That looks around 6 foot ! It's a shame.

According to the link Joe provided, there were only three produced and were in service for 18 months before being replaced with LSSCs. The LSSC had a 1 1/2 foot draft. The STAB had a draft of 2 feet. This kit looks like something built out of an oversized clawfoot bathtub with outboard motors, perfect for bathtub racing.

I'd never seen one before today so had no idea what they loooked like. After looking at the period photos it looks nothing like the real thing. It looks like someone has pushed the front and back to shorten it and it's expanded in the middle like a cartoon boat. They ought to go back to the drawing board on this one.

Definitely not the most faithful replica...Maybe they should consider changing the company name
