Hi. Got to looking around on the various sites on the Net. and found an answer to my own question. It's doesn't matter where they go. Since this AFV was never completely made anyway, much less saw action, I could actually have the driver sticking his hand out just holding the aerial up in the air manually! Ha, ha!
Anyway I found a really nice example over on the Missing Lynx site of a modeler who's pictures pointed the way. So I found myself last night, going through my parts box looking for this and that, and the other. (Man, now that's a job! Have any of you ever went through your parts box(s) competely, checking out each and every piece you've collected down over the years. Talk about a trip down memory lane!)
Came up with a whole bunch of tools, Russian tow hooks, a jack, a Panther's cleaning rod case, fire extniguishers, wood boxes, etc. to put on this kit. Just had to lay them out in somewhat of a logical order and say that this is it. Also found some Tiger II track link hooks that sit on the turret sides. Am going to fit these to some old extra Maus track links I found and put them on the E-100's turret sides. I even found a real nicely detailed
American.50 mg. and Russian 12.7 mm mg. Now if I can just figure out how to make a base for it that would look right mounted on the turret. Hey, with the E-100, anything is possible. Oh yeah. I also found two aerial mounts that came off of who knows what and mounted them to the outside of the two round fan units on the rear deck. Looks like the logical place to put them.
Just had to be careful that whatever I laid out on the top deck was put in areas where they wouldn't interfer with turret rotation.
Take care, Sgirty
