Hello - yes, I've ordered from Tower Hobby a few times with no trouble - easy enough to order, and to me in a reasonable time frame. The only dissatisfaction I have with Tower is their website! It turns out they have a big inventory with all sorts of interesting stuff - I just don't find it at all easy to navigate....
Cheers
Nick

I've recently started ordering kits from them and have been very satisfied. with their service. Shipping is fairly quick and you can get some really good deals if you couple their coupon codes with their free shipping offers.
I'd echo what Nick said regarding their site. It's fine if you know what you're looking for but not so great for "window shopping".

Sounds good; thanks; they seem like a solid option for kits and supplies; been thinking of the new Mini Art t-34 tracks to replace the kit ones in a couple Tamiya kits I have; a bit cheaper than Sprue Brothers; what are their shipping rates?

Ya'll talking about these guys ? : http://www.towerhobbies.com/
I don't find anything wrong with the site .
Seems pretty logical and easy to navigate .
BTW - it says free shipping for orders >$25 .. for now

Most full line hobby shops order some model lines from Great Planes (Tower Hobbies) along with their other store requirements and able to put the models on the shelves at the same price as you can order them.
If you check with your local or nearest hobby store they should be able to add the model your looking for to their order and save you shipping costs, you can then pick it up at the store.
Yes sales tax is an issue but versus the shipping it could well be a viable option, unless the item includes free shipping on line.
This works well for those who don't want to shop on line and yes some do exist even today.

If it's not available on the site (I imagine it is) make up a basket of what you want to buy and see for yourself. Location is often a factor.
