1/35 Panther Ausf G: Muncheberg Division 1945
Hello everyone, it has been awhile since I last posted on here. This is my latest armor project. I plan on doing updates every two weeks or so. The Panther was a shelf queen, basically sitting among my other built but not painted kitties. I started building it yrs ago but finally decided to finish it this summer. I decided to upgrade it with resin parts before i painted it but never took any pictures of it without paint sorry!!!
Kits Used
1/35 Tamiya Panther G late
1/35 Tiger Model Designs (TMD) Panther Ausf.G Chin Mantlet #1
1/35 Tiger Model Designs (TMD) Panther Ausf.G Heater Assembly
1/35 Zavod3d from Shapeways Panther G detailing set for Dragon
1/35 Accurate Armor Panther Ausf-G Detail Set
Base Coat and Camo Applied. Tamiya colors used were Nato Green as base, hull red and dark yellow lightened with white.
Phase 2: Modulation

Very clean spray work. Wouldn't this version have the deleted MG ring on the cupola ?

Thanks for looking and commenting Jerry. I do believe, based on photographic evidence, that the Muncheberg panthers did have mg rings on their cupolas. That's why i decided to model it with it.
Cheers

I am no expert for sure. Just wondering is all. I like what you've done so far. Very judicious use of aftermarket as well. Did you consider the new printed side skirt brackets now available?

Thanks again Jerry. I do appreciate it. i have bought zavod3d"s printed set with the skirt hangers and they are nice. I will use them on my next panther project. I had already attached the hangers from accurate armor when i bought the printed set though. Accurate Armor' skirts are nice, but i do believe the printed skirts are better.

I ask all of these silly questions because I have a Panther in the line up and will need all the help I can get as I am not the most practiced builder or painter.

Quick update on my panther. I did some highlight painting of various parts on the hull and turret. Vallejo paints were used for this. Next up: Oils for highlighting.

Good afternoon everyone and a happy labor day to all here in the USA. Here is a small update on my Panther. I highlighted the upper deck with oils. Will continue to add more to the turret and then i might start washes.
Please feel free to comment and thanks for looking folks.

Looking good!
Just curious: is your use of Tamiya Hull Red an attempt at replicating some shade of RAL 8017 Rotbraun, or are you using the color to represent a shade of RAL 8012 red oxide primer base?

Hi, Nick!
Been following your build with much interest. I see that there are variations in the colors of the pics in, and of, themselves- Are you using different lighting, flash/no flash, different films, and/or apertures & film speeds? I'm interested in different photo techniques, as well as my many other hobbies... Just asking...
VERY NICE BUILD! I like your variations of techniques in your "highlighting". I do something very similar in my projects!

Thanks again for commenting. i do use lighting, but the problem is my memory. I have one of those lamps that different types of light, like incandescent, daylight and etc; but i often forget which i used last. lol. My camera is my phone and I primarily use incandescent without a flash and the rest i guess is just a factory preset.
