Hello,
As far as I can see a dozens of Panthers and Tigers at modellers panzer forums I decided to buy (insane!) a unique SMA model of Mercedes 230 - Heydrich was injured during the Chech resistance action in such model
It's a tottaly different build - stright from the box - no aftermarket products availble etc.
It's resin and white metal parts doesn't look to crisp but with lots of patience I should at least make something interesting out of this kit.
Little in-box
We have two little PE frets, some big resin parts, lot of white metal parts and some material for windshield.
The details are... well just see for yourself...
At the end it should be something similar to that:
First barricade to take over is the instruction itself. It's not a accuracy best example and it's not a computer one... rather xerocopy of handmade schemes.
Like they say... Challange accepted

Hello,
The build is still alive!
I made my mind with the final result I want to achieve
Dark Blue with black roof
Interior will be red leather seats, wooden elements and beige bottom
Bright colours on the panel
Bright inside of the roof
Undercarriage will be as seen below, no way there will be rusty elements as far as this was a high grade officer's car.
Will keep you informed about progress.

This will be interesting to follow
That kit is lurking in my stash as well, bought it more than 20 years ago and haven't collected the courage to start building it yet ....

Every time I open one of the SMA-boxes and look at the parts I say to myself: Not now, I have other kits to build first ....
I have the FlaK Stoewer by SMA and the wheels are not circular ...

It's not one of the easiest and best models to Do but still unique on model contests etc.
Anyway,
I cleared the metal parts
And the base part of the model
I got ready the undercarrieage for placing the first elements
and did it...
Close up's
I tried to place the Dragon's driver from sd. kfz 251 kit but it was too long for about 1,5 mm. So it was no way than cut off his boots and make tchem shorter by 1,5 mm...
Now it fits quite well
Next updates soon

Yikes Lukasz!! And I thought my Masterbox Merc type 170 (see Diorama forum) was a “challenging” kit! Yours looks like…?? a hoax ?? to trap serious modelers into parting with their money. I don’t know how much it cost you but I’d be seriously considering asking for a refund…or the other half of the kit parts.
On the other hand, I admire your bravery in choosing to take it on – looks like it’ll fight you all the way, so strap on the auxiliary Determination packs. I laughed about Robin’s un-square wheels…until I noticed your steering wheel, looks like this kit has already been in a smash before it was even assembled…
Courage mon brave!
Tim

Well, surely it is a demanding one.
The gentlemen don't talk about money
It is an unique model, rarely seen in shops/auctions online even less are assembled and shown at model shows.
I thing if we forget about quality, it is a kit that deserve build just to have some fun and this unique touch on the model shelf in my house.
