I just thought I write this for the few that don't know this is just another name for chalk pastels, so just incase you see the name soft pastels you will know that is what you need for weathering your model. Most used are the box of gray tones and the box of earth tones, they mostly come 12 in a box of different shades from light to dark. Hope this helps.

Yes, pastel chalks are soft pastels and are indeed very soft, god forbid dropping one on the floor :-)

I bet that could get real exspensive buying them separate, now we got a craft store here in town but they are so proud of theirs I can mail order them and pay postage cheaper then I could buy them here.
