Well what's worse is that the 3 major shops near me have all stopped getting Dragon in. I think Dragon or their rep may have ticked them off for some reason. Dragon was the best here for years now its like Tamiya, Meng and Trumpeter have taken over. Whats left of Dragon in the shops are the kits that no one wants.

Masterbox, Zvezda, Miniart and ICM are taking over - it's a shame to see Dragon going down figure-wise...

honestly these three guys are precisely what I need. Three guys doing what most soldiers do most of the time; standing around doing nothing. Please notice there are only three figures. If there had been a fourth one he would have had to been pointing.

Dragon is slowly moving towards 3 figures set instead of 4 figures but maintaining the same high price.

I think that the DS stuff is ONLY BONUS WHEN IT IS FOR FREE. Since we all know that it will be priced as 4 figures, we lose 1 whole figure for some rubber trash. Sry to be so specific. In my point of view I dont need this and will be missing 1 Figure when paying for 4. I welcome all new figure sets. Many are what I need. Still it is sad that Dragon is about to lose the connection when every other manufacturer takes over. Which is also good for as modelers since it shows us that we (buyers) are wanted and they are competetive because of us.

Everything suggests these are one-piece figures mostly. They seem to be trying to do in plastic what others do in resin, etc. I guess we have to see the actual figures before the jury can deliberate. And, yeah, the three thing instead of four is kind of a downer, especially since it seems like their costs must have dropped.

If they are one-piece figures, I have ZERO interest. Styrene simply can't match resin, and even most resin figures have multiple parts.

Hopefully the figures are better than these CAD images. Check the steel helmets, both look too small and misshapen. I personally think Masterbox are the best figures available at the moment.

About the Bpnus stuff, the boots, and jackets are DS. I knew I had seen them before, and yes they came in dragon kit 6252, I'am looking at them now.

How can you infer one-piece moldings from a CAD rendering? Although I agree this is not some of Dragons best offerings, and they look so similar to previous figures that I think Dragon just tweaks the CAD drawings a bit to change the pose. And three figures?...Really!! DS is not a bonus when you're paying for it!

Have been building (and mostly stashing) Dragon figure sets for many years and noticed that the quality of their figures is on the decline in the past few years. It is most noticeable after the Gen 2 line stopped producing new kits. In the recent 66XX 67XX figure sets, you will sure find a figure or two with longer than usual arms, missing finger, odd postures . . .etc.
No choice but switched to other brands, injection or even resin ones.

The guy cocking the M-40 is neat. Reminds me of the other Dragon guy who is loading a K98 with a 5 round thingy..neato.

I lost interest in Dragon's figures when they cancelled the Gen 2 figures some modellers complained because of the multi-part build up but they were the best detailed figures Dragon did, and the weapons and gear were superb. Now they've even stopped putting the Gen 2 gear in their figures, sorry Dragon but Masterbox, ICM and Miniart's figures are much more appealing now.

This is the biggest white elephant they've released for some time. Dragon have now released that many boxes of Germans just standing about it's unreal. I'vce just had a quick look at my stash under the stairs.6456,6707,6704,6692,6110,6656 and 6344 are all 4 Germans just stood still not actually doing anything. There are other sets (which I've not got) just standing there as well as these. Why would I want to pay top dollar for THREE figures and some bits of kit that usually come in their half track kits. They're not a bonus, they're instead of another bloke just standing there not doing anything. I haven't bought a DML set new for years, preferring to pay half or less than half price for them off ebay such is my opinion of them these days. While they are nicely moulded they are boring and do not lend themselves to much variation when kitbashing. Realistically you could buy two sets of the above and with different weapons/pouches out of the stash create all of the other sets such is the lack of difference in them. As others have commented Masterbox and Miniart are now THE figure manufacturers to spend our money on. They are dynamic, varied in poses, interesting choices both in subject matter and posing. Dragon really is yesterdays manufacturer for figures. I know that if I want to build a dio whereby German infantry are waiting for orders or waiting for transport I am well catered for by DML. If I want Germans actually doing something ie walking then I'll use Tamiyas MG team (I've got 6 boxes here waiting to be kitbashed for variety) or Preiser figures which although pricey and not easy to get hold of have that many interesting bits of equipment as spares it balances out costwise. If heaven forbid I actually want Germans firing, manoeuvering on a battlefield then it's going to be Tristar and Masterbox. Miniart do a lot of Panzer crews but they're not just sitting in a tank, standing in a cupola. While on Miniart and Masterbox they are the go to manufacturers if you want Russians. So what now for Dragon? Miniart/Masterbox have cornered the Russian market as DML have done maybe 4 or 5 boxes of Russians since they started up about 30 years ago. Their endless boxes of Germans are unimaginative and frankly unappealing these days, effectively being duplicates of earlier sets, They've released about 5 or 6 specifically Waffen SS sets yet only one depicts fighting troops (the Kursk MG42 set), the others are standing waiting again. The only place that I can see DML revitalising their figure output which noone else has covered is with NW European British/Commonwealth figures in combat poses.(Miniart have cornered the market on AFV/Tank crews) Their complete output has been three boxes of British infantry (although the first ancient set is dire) and a not very useful Vickers team as they're all in overcoats. They really need to up their game if they want to make any money on their figures as I'll continue to buy peoples cast offs on ebay for a couple of quid until they do something interesting.

My thoughts exactly dragon's tank kits are becoming lack luster as well with only one new sprue added and a mishaps mash of older sprues yet a price tag of £45-60 in the UK is a joke I remember when the initial tiger and late tiger 3in1 kits came out with all the goodies included they retailed for £23.99 and they were outstanding kits Dragon lived upto it's motto of 'steps ahead always' yet with Meng, Takom, and Miniart's new T-44, SU-85 and SU-122 kits Dragon are a few steps behind.

Agree with all the above, but in all fairness to Dragon, their recent StuG lll E appears to be an excellent (maybe outstanding) kit. Maybe this marks a turnaround for Dragon?
