I tried this for the German circle ambush camo:

This is done with 1/4 in. stationery dot stickers as a mask. It almost works, but most of this type of camo was done with 2 sizes of circles - haven't seen any with just the one size. Still, interesting if you can find a slightly larger size dot sticker.

I did a Hetzer in this exact same manner with dot stickers. I found 3mm and 5mm dots and it came out excellent.

I really like this. I've been wanting to do a late war panther in this.

Hi Matthew; where did you find 3mm dot stickers? Are there any larger than 5mm - like 7 or 8 mm?

It turned out quite nice Biggles2. In what order did you lay the paint on?

DN Models do sheets of self adhesive stencils in both size circles.
I have used both. Only thing to watch is removing from the backing cleanly.

It's a bit rough, but I was just trying it on scrap plastic. I don't remember what order I applied the paint (I did this several months ago), but the dark yellow was last. I wanted to stay away from more expensive hobby orientated specialized masks, and do it DIY and on the cheap.
Actually, came out looking like bunches of grapes!

Thanks, I was thinking you may have applied it differently. I guess the best route is still from darkest to the lightest color. I've seen bigger dots like you mentioned -- maybe a trip to the office / school supply store would net you some.

I found a website called www.tapecase.com . They carry every type of tape you could want including self adhesive dots in all sizes.
