Interesting. I have never actually seen one of these in military service. I did find a few for sale at military vehicle surplus companies, but they also call it an M1070 dump truck, which it would not be called in military service. The M1070 is the tractor version.

I agree. I think these are civilian conversions of surplus vehicles. They have been cobbled together for the civilian market. As far as I can tell, neither the dump truck nor the expando van version has been used by any military. A strange choice for a conversion kit from Black Dog in my opinion. They tend to do some off the wall stuff though.
