Hi,

Finally…
Here I am with a couple of pics. There’s only one little ‘problem’ …I made them with my webcam, because I don’t have a digital camera, so they can look a bit blurry, I’m sorry about that!
My little dio takes place in the Bulge , and it’s based on a picture. The Tiger has been damaged / ran out of fuel.
The crew has lifted a white flag ( which I still have to put in this dio ) I don’t really know if I’m also going to put some soldiers in this dio … That still takes some consideration, but since my dio isn’t that big, so I don’t think so …
So… What do you think of my line up ? And also of the little bush? Could I use that in this 1/72 dio? And it’s that little plant that train moddelers use as foliage (can’t get the name now . We here in Belgium call it Elandmos.) And there will be some other stuff like trees and grass. The other side (the flat one) is the road. And what should I do with the little creek? I’ll have some work to do. Tomorrow I’ll poure the POP to get everything smoother.
My Tiger’s really shiny from the light. He has got to have his primer and then I can start all over with the camo (had a problem with the filter. The paint wasn’t dry :s) I think I’ll go for the hard-edge camo.
If anyone have some tricks or tips, they are all welcome.

Pics can be foundhere.

Greetings

Nice job so far. This looks pretty good. I would try to get some type of figure into the diorama. Either the crew abandoning or an allied soldier finding the tank. I realize that 1/72 scale figures are hard are hard to find. Try Mil. Models (an advertiser here), they have had a lot of 1/72 scale figures when I was looking.
The bush works, I would try to add some leaves, crushed parsley shaken over some spray glue would do the trick. Its called lichen.
One thing I would try to do next time is to avoid running anything parallel to a base side. Add a little bit of an angle to the road next time. It add interest to the eyes of the viewer.
You can use a bit of future painted spots for damp/muddy ground in the creek. If you want to get some hobby resin or some water material you can go all out and make it a full creek.
That tank is a heavy beast, don't forget the ruts that it dug up getting to its final spot.

Hey thx 4 the advice. But the creek will be smaller when the POP is poured. Then would it be more like, how do you call it? A didge? But I guess I'll leave it as a creek. And make it muddy. Then I can make more roundings into that line. So it would be more attractive for the eye, like u said. And for the bush, I won't spray a lot leaves over it. Becuse it was winter in that period.

Thx

it's the 1/72 Tiger II Ausf. B with Henschelturm from revell. A nice kit to build. I've build him straight from the box. First time I'm doing a tank. So it will be to try everything out.

Uhu, He's 1/72, but he's big. Would be verry impressive when you were at war and you would see that tank comming right at you. Guess I would run like I've never run before.

This my KingTiger against a PzKpfw III Ausf. M (also 1/72)
