Sd.Kfz. 139 Marder III by SDV Model of the Czech Republic is a 1/87 kit of that ersatz mobile tank killer.

I put this kit away almost a year ago due to frustration.
Your review has given me motivation to dig it up and finish it this winter, when I pick up my hobbies again.
I found assembly to be significantly more difficult than your experience. Of the seven pieces that make-up the lower hull, not one of them (as you noted) has a guide pin or alignment point anywhere, making it in my opinion extremely hard to assemble.
