Hi.
I usually build 1:35 DML figures which I paint with revell colours. But I have some nice kits of early Panzers (Pz I/III) which I would like to build and I am not fully sure which colour I should use.Anyone can recommend me the ideal grey revell colour to use.
Miniart recommends no. 57 but to me it seems a lit bit bright.

Dunkelgrau is very dark, so any neutral dark grey should do. It's nothing like as light or as blue as often depicted in model form.

If you are using Revell colors, the recommend color for pre 1943 armor Dunkelgrau is RAL 7021
which Revell's match is No:9 Anthracite Grey.
Cheers,
Joe

Rasto, Revell has a "Panzergrau" in their program, I think it's No. 78. And a "Geschützgrau" which is possibly No. 74 (or vice versa). Have you tried them?

If you factor in scale effect, I'd say No. 9 is way too dark. No. 78 should do the trick.
