The Tamiya kit is AWFUL. Why isn't this for the far-better DML & Trumpy kits? Trumpeter has a Bunkerknacker kit (it's in my stash thanks to Georg Eyerman), but the DML kit could be used. The Tamiya suspension is wrong, and that's the part that survives the conversion.

Is there supposed to be a weapon mounted on this vehicle? What was it's purpose?

It's a tractor for towing a modified 8.8cm FlaK 18. The weapon was intended to be fired from its Lafette at ground targets. There was an article in Mil Mod about it a couple of years ago actually.

"Bunkerknacker" in German means "bunker cracker" (or "bunker buster" if you feel like...).

The halftrack with the Flak mounted on the rear was a SdKfz 8 (offered by Trumpeter) and is totally different.
