I am doing a diorama in Russia, '44. First, were there any Marder III's in the 24th Panzer Division? Also, and more importantly, was the 24th Panzer Division in Russia, and was it annihilated at any time? Thanks for your time.

24th Pz. fought exclusively on the Eastern Front and eventually met its demise in '43 at Stalingrad. Presence of Marder lll's is unknown but possible.

The unit was immediately reformed in France, sent to Northern Italy, and then back to Eastern Front. It ended as a 'paper pz. division' in N. Germany and surendered to British.
