Hi guys,
I would like to know how to imitate a transparent mud on the wheels.
Also, I would like to know what color of mud would be more common for a vehicle on the eastern front during WWII. The idea that I have is that mud on the eastern front tend to be very dark, almost blak, and would like to check if is correct.
Thanks in advance,
Angel

Testors CreateFX Mud should work. Just mix in a few drops of dark brown.

Thanks Matt.
Unfortunately in Spain I haven't seen any product from Testors.

Maybe a crackling paint? that's what I used mixed with brown acrylic and coffee grounds to simulate clumpy mud on an M151A2. Could be picking up to experiment with.

The eastern front covered a huge area, both north to south and east to west. Soil colour is no respecter of political boundaries so it will very much depend on the locality. The colour also varies with depth. I suspect that there are soil type maps in existence for at least some of the area but Google Earth can be useful if you can narrow down the area you intend to represent.

Thanks Andrew and Robert for your help.
I am in the process of painting a Nebelwerfer and wanted to do it on a winter setting in the eastern front.
Best regards,
Angel
