I wonder which variant of this vehicle was used then by the Chinese? Of course they themselves would prefer not to discuss this.

IIRC, the pictured tanks were Type-59-II's (a.k.a. WZ-120B) :

The photo of the man in front of the line of tanks; Reminds me of the quote from 'The Interpreter'

The gunfire around us makes it hard to hear.
But the human voice is different from other sounds.
