I hope this means they'll be getting the kits in stock soon?

I preordered one as soon as I saw it was coming. Saved me from ordering the Wespe Models resin kit to go with my Meilerwagen. They have some nice kits but if the instructions for them all are like the ones I got then I can see why I don't see many builds of their product. All the illustrations are hand drawn and not well at that. I think they had someone's grade-schooler handle that task.

Going to break the bank but I MUST HAVE ONE!!! (at least).
Not quite sure if I would go for a full battery (6 guns) or not, but as an ex-SANDF Artillery Officer I will get at least 1 for sure.

Kobus

Since you happen to have the knowledge...what would be the correct color for this beauty?

Hi Israel,
Typically these guns would have a 3 colour camo pattern - the box-art seems reasonably accurate from what I can recall (I haven't been involved with the SANDF for about 10-years or so, I'm not sure what the current pattern is). If you Google it you'll find plenty photographs.

Added to my wish list, of corse!
This vehicle looks like something came from a video game, Like the Command & Conquer series. It's really cool.
I like armor and artillery pieces, SPG are the combination of both.
Is good to see some companies releasing more fresh and interesting subjects, while others insist in the variation of the same subjects again, and again, and again....

This one will join the wish list (with the Dana) for when I'm rich
However, I hope the different angles of the tube and its base are a builder mistake.

What kind of colour system does the SADF use? BS, FS, RAL?
Are there any specifications of the tones, e.g. Sand, Brown, Green? Judging from the pics I saw, I would go for Tamiya XF-55 as base, XF-52 for brown and XF-61 for green.
Pics of the G6 can be found on Primeportal.

Hi Hans-Hermann,
Re the colour system - way beyond my knowledge unfortunately.
However, I still have some contacts in the SANDF - let me see if they can shed any light on the colour system and specifications for the tones - it might take a while to get an answer though.

As soon as the acquisitions department returns from its enforced sabbatical and the current rather substantial stash is somewhat reduced, I will have to get myself one of these.

Hi Hans-Hermann
Got a quicker reply that expected on the colour system. Apparently the SANDF uses a FS based system.
The feedback I received on the colours as follows:
Base coat - Humbrol 29 (not sure what the Tamiya colour would be)
Green - Tamiya XF 61
Light brown - Tamiya Deck Tan (not sure what the XF number is).
I hope this is of use
