Hello Everyone,
I'm fully retired now. So that means time for model building and therapy. I'm a Veteran from the Afghan campaign. I serve beside great troops. Everyone from UK finest to America 10 MTN Division. All brother and sister in arms. I would serve with again if I was to sign the dotted line. My tour was a proud memory and an honorable experience.
Model building for me is therapy. It is an artist license. An expression of the story I want to tell. To teach the everyone the Sacrifices of our Finest Warriors. What myself and other Soldiers have done. Share the story. So now I have built one
Leopard 2AM6 with mine rollers in a diorama of the Ring Highway. It is currently on display at Maritime Hobbies and Crafts in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Upcoming projects are listed here:
*Husky VMMD
*Buffalo
*Cougar
*RG 31 Force Protection 2007 Corporal Robert McCafferty Princess Louise Fusiliers
*LAV III 2007 MCpl Chris Stannix 22Bravo Princess Louise Fusiliers
*Failed VIED 2009, intercepted by Canadian Forces
*Rocket Attack Kandahar Airfield 2010
*Access Control Point in Kandahar Airfield 2010 (me)
This topic will be my blog for the rest of the projects. I will keep posting here and there. But I want to share my model building experience with everyone here.
All Gave Some.
Some Gave All.
Thanks for looking.
Have an awesome day.
Tom D.

Rocket Alley
Today I had sometime to use. Decided to start a diorama of the hole in the ground. The hole was caused by a Rocket Attack. Here I glue a few pieces of foam onto a wooden box. Then I draw the outline in marker. Then cut those pieces out. Then place those pieces in glue in the lower section. Now to let it dry. Then putty time after.

Hello Tommy,
I am looking forward to watching your progress on this project. I recently retired after 20 years of active duty and 28 years of total military service. I served in both Iraq and Afghanistan. I agree with your and John that modeling is a very therapeutic endeavor. I wish you the best.
Cheers, and thanks for your service.
