This brand new vehicle, the "Namera" (based on the heavy APC "Namer") is supposed to replace the Combat Engineering Corps trusty old "Puma"s.

The model companies will have to be very careful in order to get the suspension and unequal spacing between the road wheels and stations correct.

I am currently working on a Puma.

Will the Namera replace the Puma in widespread service? I thought the Namer HAPC was considered too expensive to replace the M113 and Achzarit APC? Does it mean the Namer and the Eitan serve side-by-side with the IDF infantry and paratroopers.

Yes. They will serve alongside each other, and the reason stated was cost and speed of deployment.

Eventually, yes.

The "Namer" is a new generation heavy APC aimed to replace the former generation ("Achzarit", "Nagmachon", "Nakpadon"), however given the large number of variants of these heavy APC's, I'm sure they will serve side by side for many more years.

Correct. The "Namer' will be the standard heavy APC, while the "Eitan" will be replacing the obsolete "Bardelas".

Medical, rescue, logistic and command units will have their own heavy APC, the "Ofek", which is a low-cost upgrade and re-use of the now phased out Merkava 2B, by removing the turret and adding a simple superstructure.
