If the aftermarket tracks are intended for the Tamiya BT-7 Model 1935, they should work, as that version used the original BT tracks, which had plates that were nearly square. The later BT-7 Model 1937 variant used the shorter-pitch track, which had a different drive wheel (technically, it wasn't a drive sprocket, as it had cogs, not teeth).
