Are Attack kits the same molds as Roden? I have a Roden 234 and the chassis looks suspiciously identical to the illustrated Attack one.

According to a web page on Best Value Model's 1/35 conversion set for this vehicle, photographs appear in Panzerwrecks 4 on pages 84 and 85; the vehicle belonged to the 17th Panzer Division in Hungary. A color photograph from dead ahead appears on a web page for Bolt Action's 1/56 (28mm) kit. The photograph is an example of why even color photographs of the period are hard to judge camouflage colors from; in the image, the camo looks to be medium green/brown/black.

Yes, the base is Roden kit. The worst choice, for it has problems with the engine deck. In this area the rest two 234 kits in 1/72 (Hasegawa and Italeri) are much better.

I'm afraid there's not much info available at the moment Biggles2. Maybe when it's out and reviews are made.

The use of Roden parts is confirmed by a Czech source, but even without this information the things are obvious.
Here is an excellent comparison review of the available SdKfz 234/2 kits in 1/72:

Note the wrong rear of Roden hull.
Now here are BIG pictures of that one-off 234 of Attack, concentrate on the engine deck and decide for yourself what they have used:
