The scene will be based on all the images over the net from the Syrian war. The scene will consist of the following. The idea is that two tankers from the ZSU decide to get a selfie in front of the last Coke Machine.
Takom ZSU-57-2
Meng vending machine and Resin figures from Paracel "Selfie".

Great idea!
The gun mechanism looks superb. I'll be following this myself.

The hull is complete, sans paint. I was also able to apply the base paint to the turret interior. It still is lacking some of the parts, which I had to paint separately and will be adding them this evening. The gun shells will take a few days to paint, you can see them in the background, there are a lot. Please note the turret shell is just sitting there so if parts look out of alignment, they are until I align and attach the turret shell to the turret base.

The green coat looks so smooth and matt. Is this a primer or paint? What brand?

Cristian, Tamiya Field Grey, which is really a green. I use it for all my Soviet vehicles. I did use Tamiya Lacqeur thinner with it. It makes the paint very hard.
One more shot of the turret, radio gear is painted, sighting gear is attached and seats painted. I plan on starting the process to paint all the shells tonight.

Looks awesome - especially with all that ready ammo stacked in the turret.
Strange that the Soviets painted the interior white when it is open topped. I would have expected to see green interior in the turret.

I've found two walk-arounds on the vehicle, both have white interiors with the gun painted green, which is typical for Russian vehicles at least since WWII. One of the walk-arounds is available on DishModels.ru of a Finish vehicle.

Lookin great so far brother ! Nice unusual subject. I remember studying these in my pack of tank ID cards when I first joined the army. I can safely say that I have never seen this kit built before.

I'm now working on the base. Based on all the ANNA videos I've seen of the Syrian fighting, all the buildings look to me as shades of tan/grey. The building ruins are some plaster elements I had laying around. The brickets were made via a "J's" models rubber mold. The street was made to look like cement by using a grey colored grout I have. Ground cover is tan grout as I was going for a sandy look. Still more work to do, probably apply a brownish wash to all the bricks/cider blocks to tone them down some. Let me know your thoughts.
