Just found this article that states that the Bundeswehr will field LEGUAN AVLB in the next years.
http://www.baainbw.de/portal/a/baain/!ut/p/c4/LYrBCsJADAX_KNm6iNRbSxHs0YvWW9ouJZhmy5LqxY93F3wDc5mHT8wovXkh46gk-MBh4vP4gZGIFehlexABEglKeC__OcAUNVixBTXOXhJZTLDFZFLKnlIuwDMOrupad_Duv-rbXI6993V96q7tDbd1bX4EGcYQ/
Will probably be called Gepanzertes Brückenlegesystem mit Gefechtsfeldbücke.
Who volunteers for making it in /35 scale? Y-Modelle maybe?

Y-Modelle is best prepared for a Leguean since they have the model in 1/87 scale.

Not only the 1/87 model, Y-Modelle used to have a 1/35 conversion set for the Leguan as well:

Let's hope that Hr Dipl.-Ing. Köditz decides to re-release this conversion

At least we don't go of to war relying on others to MEDEVAC our wounded off the battlefield for over a decade .... and the Germans could also use our M104s once they are in Germany next year.
Being a little closer to what's happening here in Germany, and Hermann would probably even agree, that our (US) procurement system ain't perfect but the German system can't provide even the basics in time .... stuff you can take right of the shelf has to be "reinvented".
German Military Procurement Bureaucracy is beyond "Good and Evil" (F. Nietzsche)
I do concur that a MENG kit of this vehicle would be great !
Cheers

Christopher you are perfectly right!
German armor is sometimes overengineered to keep the engineer in its well-paid job. I had the opportunity to visit Wegmann plant in 1998. The tempo and efficency of the work was very "disturbing".

yep, working for a government department like I do, I know only too well the foibles of procurement when spending public money.
And thank you for picking up our wounded, too; it is appreciated.
Would it be too much to ask for a Pioneerpanzer 3 whilst we're at it?

Heard rumors hat we plan to procure Kodiak AEV "somedays". KMW recently bought Battletank Dismantling GmbH at Rockensußra, the German tank and FV "graveyard" so that we have plenty of resources to rebuild.

A couple of years ago I might have fell off my chair at a 197 € price tag, but that's what, two Dragon kits? . A plastic kit would be great, but I won't hold my breath...
Would this be the same one that Finland uses?
