The best? Hmmm... I don't really think there is a best.
I use and probably prefer to use Isopryophyl Alcohol (Rubbing). I also use the manufactures - can't go wrong there.
Some even use windshield washer fluid.

Thanks a lot. Used some regular brush cleaner earlier and it seperated it like oil and water. Now I know.

standard thinner i think works best and i use the colour companies thinner always

I used Windex last night while airbrushing and it worked well, you may try that...

Thinner won't work w/ acrylics...... Water Alcohol (rubbing & Washer Fluid) are the best bets Along w. the Manufacterers own.

I just read an artical where a guy said to use lacquer thinner, he said he mixed 90% metallic gray with 10% flat black, then equal amount of lacquer thinner is this rite.

With acrylic I would not use laquer thinner..water ,windex , rubbing alcohol or the manufacures thinner.

That is what I thought, but back 20 pages in this forum Gun truck on his how to paint tank tracks said 90% Tamiya xf-56 metallic gray, and 10% xf-1 Flat black which are acrylic, then he says add equal amount lacquer thinner. I'd like him to explain about that, it got me to wondering about it.

I paint with acrylics most of the time and the Poly S acrylic thinner works fine for me
