guys,
Was this locomotive used in the transportation of the K5e rail guns.
or did the Germans have this type of locomotive for the rail guns.
any ideas

For long distance moving yes the top Locomotive would be correct but, on a siding or in and out of bunkers like those found in France ........

Yep, the above diesels and some small steamlocomotives were used for shunting. The big engines were used for long distances and according some guy I spoke to, the railguns were highly camouflaged during long transports. Besides camouflage netting large wooden mockups were placed over the gun so it looked like ordinary railroad cars from the sky. #:-)

The Squadron Signal book on German Railguns gives the designation of the diesel engine used for short movements of the K5e's. One of my friends has my copy right now so I can't put it down here

I have a question for anyone.I want to buy the 1/35th scale Dora Railgun kit what I'd like to know is what type of locomotive moved this huge gun ,what company or companies make this model in 1/35th scale ,where can I buy this locomotive model if it exist,what is the loco called.
