Hoping Legend will release a set of heads and these MSA type helmets as Live Resin is dragging the chain with them.... Love this figure and its kit.

Mine came today and the details on this figure are absolutely amazing. What surprises me the most is perhaps how straight and true everything is. It's as if someone at Legends took a ruler to make the sides of the M4, pouches, gear, radio, etc. I mean these pieces are perfectly STRAIGHT as if leveled. I've never seen pieces with such straight edges.
Details are very crisp...everything just "pops" out at you. All the small pieces have their own little pour block to securely hold them in place.
These Legends' craftspeople really put impressive engineering skills into making this kit. The 3D work really shows. Great job, Legends and Peter S!

I received my 1/16 figure a couple of days ago, and if anything, Trisaw is understating the quality of the piece. It really is amazing to behold. My only worry is doing it justice in the construction and painting of it. The figure actually looks like the renderings above, such is the detail on it.

I'm going to build the figure for the review, but I don't have a clue when will I be able to actually paint it. It is pretty high on my list of priorities though.

I agree with all of the prior complimentary remarks, but with one caveat: there are some large casting pour blocks on a number of pieces. The one on the back of the upper torso will be particularly challenging to remove.
I compared this figure with the two recent releases from Airborne Miniatures. The Legend kit has a very slight edge in sharpness of details and casting quality, but the two Airborne kits will be much easier to clean up and assemble.
This is a very fine kit, and hopefully the first of many from Legend. I do hope that they will become more skilled in the placement and size of their molding pour plugs. They've got a ways to go before they match the standard set by Alpine in this scale.

I think a lot of selling depends on the subject matter as there are quite a few options for US tank crews and not a lot of options for USAF PJ, CCT, Javelin gunner, Carl Gustav M4 gunner, Delta Force, Arctic, SWAT, etc.
If Alpine focused on a unique and rare Special Forces figure with unique armament (like a Javelin or M4 Carl Gustav), it might sell better because it's "the only game in town."

To answer the question, 'How does this new LP figure compare to Live Resin's?', the same in terms of detail, accuracy, and very current.
To address another point raised with regards to Alpine figures, as Trisaw mentioned, I'd buy any of those figures described because the figure would be depicting an action, ie: actually doing something. I've sent aside money for the next Legend / Peter S figure, and both of Airbourne Miniatures' next releases, for that reason, the figure is not static.
That said, my only observation is that a very specific figure allows no scope for individualisation or customisation. Look at, for example, Alpine's latest releases, whether it is the 1/35 KG Hansen pair, or the 1/16 HJ machine gunner figure. Instantly recognisable for who they depict, and very difficult to use out of that context. But it still is not going to stop me buying them.
But this thread is starting to stray off topic.
