hi, ive been finishing a sherman i started about 3 years ago as a practice model for weathering etc (ive built it knocked out) and i want to put it on a small base for practice too, but over the 3 years ive lost much of the sprues and only have one side of the road wheels, the other sides sprues i lost. How could i go about hiding this on the base?
cheers,

Thanks for posting Luca. If I may suggest this book:
Modeling Realistic Tanks and Artillery: An Illustrated Guide by Mike Ashley
(I always find deals on www.bookfinder.com -- in the "preferences" tab, list UK as the destination)
He gives good basic instruction on how to prep kit parts and construction tips. He has good finishing instruction too.

Hi Luca,
Looks like an interesting use of a derelict kit! The only things that I see needing fixing are the missing lift-rings on the hull front and turret roof (above the main gun) - the kit has holes for the plastic rings, but a real tank just had them welded onto the surface, so if they are knocked off there shouldn't be any holes under them. A quick dab of filler in each hole, followed by some "rusty" paint will get rid of these! No need to be too neat with it, since there might have been stumps or scars left behind when the rings were shot away...
Hope this helps!
