Lou, have you tried googling what vehicle your asking about. Is it a modern vehicle?
I don't know of a chart, but most of the guys her are pretty knowledgeable.

That would be great, and for guns as well... Sometimes writing a review I have no idea of parts names so it would come quite handy

That's great, Kimmo!
Hi, Lou & Carlos!

Once you start getting into super-detailing, there are specific Tech Manuals for different vehicles that break sub-assemblies down into different chapters, along with accompanying drawings and photographs, such as Kimmo submitted, enumerating and naming the various parts of these sub-assemblies in an orderly fashion. You can also access some of these online. A LOT of this kind of info is also available from the TANKOGRAD and PORTRAYAL PRESS books...

And then, of course, you can also ask Gino Quintillani (Heavy Arty), Mike Koenig (165th spc), and Mike Del Vecchio. Frenchy, and Gerald Owen also have a lot of knowledge & info, and so does Kurt Laughlin...

Dennis' suggestion is a good one. Many US vehicles' tech manuals are available as PDF downloads, too.

Hi, Lou and Carlos!

Also check out Mike Koenig's/Mike 165thspc's "My First HEMMT"-build, and Gino Quintillani's/Heavy Arty's "M1074PLS Conversion"-build...
Both builds are full of all kinds of GREAT reference and GREAT pics of actual vehicles. It'd be worth your while to ask both of these two gentlemen, and also Roy Chow, where you can obtain this kind of reference material for your building needs...
