Hello all, does anyone here have a good close-up shot of the decal on the glass installed in OGPK and MCTAGS turrets? is the decal removed before seeing action?

Eric

Hello Eric,
I am not sure what it is that you are referring to. I can't remember seeing a decal on the glass, so, maybe it was removed before being issued to us. I may have seen it and just didn't pay any attention to it.
i will keep an eye out. If you find what you are looking for, please, let us know.
Respectfully,
Allen

Allen, I have seen many photos of HMMWV and M-ATVs that might have been freshly delivered that have some sort of decal on each block of armored glass on the turret. It might be removed before the truck sees use. I just wanted to know if anyone has a close up of it in case I decide to do one of these freshly derived vehicles as a load for a HET or something similar. I though Frenchy would comment through. I am pretty sure he has a copy of every photo that exists on the internet.

Eric

Hi Eric
In fact I had seen your request and quickly checked out my reference stuff in vain.
So I've asked my good ole'friend Google and found this that looks similar :

HP, thanks for the pic. That is what I'm talking about. Newly delivered vehicles like that row have them.
Dustin, those are perfect. I can zoom them enough to see that they say:
STRIKE. FACE
THIS SIDE OUT
Then smaller line across the bottom is too small to read at 1/35 so it is less important. I guess my search wasn't exhaustive enough. Those should be easy enough to do on my printer.

I believe I had a couple pics of Abrams TUSK gunner shields with the stickers on them at home, if you still need it

Jason, the more references the better. Some day I will do an Abrams. Will you please post them here or just email them to me? I'll PM my email to you.

I don't believe that I have seen those window stickers before...we might have put ours in back wards, no, that was the claymore...lol
I like the looks of that last turret.
