Already somebody wrote about 1/48 Elefant. and they will release a product of 1/35.

I heard a roumor. Mr. T said at Osaka Hobby Festival on Nov 3, Tamiya will release Valentine at 1/35.

but I do not know this is true or not. If true, the kit might be appeared at Tamiya Fair on Nov 19-20

Just about every model of the Valentine can already be built using the Bronco or AFV Club. I don't see the point of Tamiya making their own kit.

Well, maybe some would enjoy a clean, easy building,Tamiya product.I'm sure just about anything Tamiya puts out will sell to their following.

Gotta agree with Anthony. While I know nothing about AFV's offering I'm currently working on Bronco's IX version. This is my first Bronco kit. While I'm enjoying building it the going is slow, lots of itty bitty parts.
After a tedious build I like to build something like a Tamiya kit to "cleanse my pallet" so to speak. Maybe a back to back Valentine comparison build could fill the bill.
Anyway, I for one am very happy that Tamiya is releasing all these new kits! Options are a good thing !
A good weekend to everybody !

Apparently Tamiya does not care if a subject has already been released by other manufacturers. They have their own distinct style(easy build, great fit, less concentration on details, etc) backed by huge fan base. I personally have had zero interest in Valentine tanks, but I will buy one from Tamiya for sure.

I think a Tamiya Valentine would be awesome! I would really love to see them do the Matilda 1 or a Vickers Mk VIb!! I have the Vulcan 1/35 but a Tamiya one would be awesome! Whatever the new release is, it'll be sweet!

Same could be said of many producers and subjects, heard it many times recently about Tamiya's new 1/48 F-14 until people saw it then it was all ooooh's and ahhhh's.

They have done all the research for the 1/48 Crusaders. It would make sense to upscale things to 1/35 to replace the venerable Italeri offering.......

I personally like Tamiya because of ease of construction and, shortcomings aside (no kit is absolutely perfect), their kits build up pretty good; I'll put this one on my wish-list.

I really must agree with everyone about ease of building. I have a Dragon Panther F on the back burner. With so many alternative parts it is a pain to build. Meanwhile I am doing a conversion on the Tamiya Panther D and it just falls together at half the price!

Miniart also makes a bunch of Valentines

The Miniart Valentines have a quite a lot of accuracy issues. Not in the same league as Bronco or AFV Club.

For the Same reason that they make a Sherman, Tiger etc as they don't earn 1 cent on those made by Bronco / Miniart or AFV.

I've started my AA Matilda MK I (again, for the third or fourth time LOL) so maybe the MK I will happen. The A9 would be fantastic though!

The Bronco kit is the Miniart kit. Same exact parts breakdown. Miniart shared their CAD with Bronco who then cut their own metal.

The only real problem with the Miniart kits is the angle of the rear and a couple of concessions to get multiple versions out of one mold. And lots of parts and subassembly.

I vote for the Crusader or a 1/35 version of another recent 1/48 release: the Daimler armored car. Can never tell with big T, they are an institution unto themselves and anything they do will sell because they are such a big brand name. They make food for crying out loud. You can get Tamiya Ramen. When was the last time you went to the local market to get some Airfix soup or Revell frozen vegetables?

I'm an R/C modeler as well so I hit up the Tamiya rep at Orangecon recently and asked if anything new (post L70) was coming in 1/16 and he said the next release in the spring will "knock your socks off". I followed up with the Allied or Axis question and he gave me a pregnant pause....

Lots of possibilities if they follow any of their recent projects... I'm holding out for an M10

Ever since I built their 1/48 Crusader I/II, I've been hoping that Tamiya would upscale it to 1/35.

Cheers,

Crusader would be nice but they might have a non-competition agreement with Italeri. A9 and A10 would also be nice but I expect them more from a company like Hobby Boss.

I'd like to see them re-make some of their "Moldy Oldies": SAS Jeep, LRDG truck, M8 HMC.

What I like or prefer has never been a good indicator of another's future behavior.

I would love to see a new Stuart series. But it is highly unlikely.

Maybe another Sherman variant is far more likely. Maybe a new slick M4 remanufactured or a new M4A3 75mm(w). A Daimler armored car or Crusader are also more likely rather than disappointing ourselves over something as unlikely as an A9 Cruiser.

And then it could always be a Panther Ausf A. So I could finally be right for once with my forecast. Or even the kit that cannot be named lest we offend the Illuminati of the modeling world!!!

I can think of a Sherman variant that would be right up their alley. They made the M1 Super Sherman and the M51 Sherman, I don't think an M50 Sherman would be out of line.

But UMPTEEN different 1/35 Tiger I & II kits are absolutely necessary, though...
