Looks Like Tamiya is going to be giving us some more British WW2 armor. They look like new tools. . .

Since Tamiya has rebox Italeria before is the Crusader new or rebox?

Look at the kit number for a clue - it starts with 37. True Tamiya kits start with 35.

If you know the Italeri Crusader, you will see that something here is different. No step in the front fender.

I don't recall it ever having been retooled and fixed?

Don't want to disagree with anyone as Tamiya did not include me in their marketing discussions but every previous co production has always carried the other producers logo on the box.

Hi, All!!!

I was hoping for an all-new early Cruiser Tank Mk.VI Crusader I with the 2pdr Main Gun and the Auxiliary Machine Gun Turret...

IF this TAMIYA Cruiser Tank Mk.VI Crusader III is indeed just a "new" TAMIYA re-boxing, then it's not really all that "new"...

I WOULD spring for the new TAMIYA Valentine Mk.II/IV, with my final decision being subject to FIRST reading "in-box or progressive-build reviews". My MINIART Valentines are as yet, un-built. TAMIYA's parts look good, as we all expect them to be by now, and nowhere near as "over-engineered" as the MINIART Valentines. I see what looks to be "link-and-length" Tracks in the sprues, which I much prefer over vinyl or DRAGON's "DS Tracks"...

To be fair, I don't have any of the AFV CLUB Valentines- Anyone care to fill me in on their relative merits..?

BTW: What happened with the rumor(?) that the new TAMIYA Valentine was going to be a "self-propelled Gun"-type..?

I tend not to believe anything posted by model companies until I actually see an announcement with "box art" and/or actual kit parts. (the operative phrase being, "tend not to believe")

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I am not sure that the British 1st Army had any Valentines. At least some of their units of infantry tanks had Churchills.

Back in the 80's I did a commission for 17/21 Lancers Museum for all of their vehicle from Mk6 to Challenger 1 and included a Valentine used for Operation Torch.

It's time we had a new 1/35 Crusader so it's disappointing if it's a rebox. No doubt it'll have no clear lights and bloody rubber tracks.

I've got the AFV Club Valentine, albeit only partially completed but it is very good. Same goes for the Mini Art kits, I think they are very well done as well.

Thanks for the correction about the 6th and Valentines! Always like learning things.

There were certainly *exercises* using Valentines and landing craft, and also DD Valentines.

Not sure where exactly this photograph was taken, but it's in North Africa!

You know how long been waiting for them to fix that fender? If they did that maybe there is new link and length track too. And an exhaust? The Italeri kit never had that either.

The AFV Club Valentines are excellent kits. A good bit better than the MiniArt ones and better engineered than the Bronco reworks of the MiniArt kits. The MA and Broncos build up ok, but have some incorrect measurements, etc.
