What shades of green were used by the Czechs and DDR during the cold war? It appears the Czech vehicles were more of a khaki than olive (soviet) and the DDR used a greener color. What are good matches. Also, am ramping up to build a DDR T-55. I understand they were Czech production. Would they be Czech or DDR color?

From what I was able to find,East Germany used a gray-green color for armor in NVA service. If building any East German armor it would be best to use this color. Also yes,it does seem many T-55s were Czechoslovakian.

Any clues as to what an FS or Ral equivalent for this grey-green would be? Or any model paint that is close.

The DDR green had often a bad quality, so very different shapes of green appeared. Some of them faded quikly and the color was light green then. A good match for the color is also the current NATO green from the three-tone camo used in Europe. Add a litte bit of OD and it will be quite good.
You could also search for "nationale volksarmee t-55" and you'll get some nice pictures.
