Hi,
Does anyone have a good photo of German Faun SLT-56 tank transporter loaded with MARS?
I have only found Faun with Leopard tanks, Gepards, Pz 2000 ...
Thx

Maybe a SLT-56 is too big for the MARS?

Maybe it would have been done!
Most modern armies tend to save on wear and tear, next to costs, on tracked vehicles. This implies as less as possible movement if no training objective is present. So bringing them to, let's say, a training area would be possible.
We, Dutch, do even use contracted civil transport companies for long hauls.
And since both the SLT and the MARS are German equipment is seems logic.
Now, the only challenge you may have is weather they should be OD or NATO camouflage painted. Hopefully one of our Deutsche Freunde can help you out.
Viel Erfolg,
P.

I found one on eBay!
To be exact, that is not SLT-56 Franziska, but SLT-50 Elefant.

I have a SLT 50-3 ELEFANT in 1/72. The kit has been around for a while but if you mean not produce (resin & styrene) in 1/35th then you are right.

You are exactly right!
I completely forgot that one, and I have even got that Revell kit in my stash
I was thinking 1/35 ..... I bought the Revell kit with a vague plan of maybe scratchbuilding one in 1/35, using as many parts as possible from the Trumpeter Franziska ...

There are many kits in 1/72 that I would love to have in 1/35 but since I have decided to restrict myself to 1/35, otherwise the stash would grow too horribly fast , I will simply have to wait and hope that Revell or maybe Trumpeter come to my rescue with a 1/35 SLT 50-3
